When selling second-hand clothing on our marketplace, you can easily calculate the price of your item by applying a percentage discount from the original purchase price. The discount varies depending on the condition and brand of the clothing.
Well-preserved condition (almost like new)
An item of clothing that has been worn only rarely and looks almost new can often be offered for 60–80 % of the original price.
Used condition
Clothing that shows slight signs of wear but is still in good condition is typically sold for 40–60 % of the original price.
Heavily worn or damaged
Clothing with visible signs of wear or minor defects (e.g., slight discolorations or loose seams) should be offered for 20–40 % of the original price.
Brands: High-quality or designer brands are more likely to retain a higher resale value. You can set the upper limits here.
Remember that second-hand marketplaces are a give and take. If you set a price too high, others will follow suit, and that could mean you have to expect higher prices on your next purchase as well. So sell at fair prices so that you can also buy at fair prices. This way, everyone benefits—and the community stays balanced!
